The 2015 Bookmaking Challenge: Book #1

happiest of new years to everyone out here in the bloggingverse. i've decided to play a much bigger artist game this year and create/produce a new book every week. i have to admit i punked out on the idea at first. that would mean [fill in all doubting blanks]. but then i thought about author Julie Powell's tour de force with Julia Child's entire cookbook in 365 days. What?!

that's when i heard that still small voice within whisper: get over yourself.

so here goes the 2015 bookmaking challenge: create a new book of any size/shape/scope/dimension for every week of the year.  i invite everyone who reads this blog at any point to join me.  a challenge loves company.

of course, that means i'll have to learn how to (1) have more connected conversations with people in the bloggingverse, and (2) use other technical elements of blogging.  uhmmmm . . . this challenge just got a little more involved than i foresaw.

i tried to take pictures of book #1, but it's an accordion fold, 3-D book with pop-up components that don't show up well in a 2-D format. the only other option for sharing the book was to shoot my first blog video. however, the video keeps turning sideways and upside down. special thanks to my husband for holding the book while i figured out how to video the book after @ 20-something takes. anyway, here it is.
